Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated 28 September 2026

Some links on this site are affiliate links. Click one, make a purchase, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions fund the site — we don't run ads, don't sell your data, and don't have a paid tier.

We only feature partners whose products travel well and rate consistently well with our readers. Commissions never influence whether a partner appears or how their offer is described.

How affiliate links work

When you click a partner link, you pass briefly through our redirect (/out/…) and land on the partner's website. The partner — or the affiliate network that manages the programme, such as FlexOffers — uses a cookie or a referral code in the link to recognise that you came from TravellerSeed. If you then book or buy something within that partner's tracking window, the partner may pay us a commission, usually a percentage of the sale or a fixed amount.

You pay exactly the same price you would pay by going to the partner directly. Commissions come out of the partner's marketing budget, not your pocket.

Where you'll see partner links

  • "Before you go" and "Get set up" rows on country pages
  • The flight-comparison box on route pages
  • Airport services on airport pages
  • Money cards on the currency page, insurance on the holidays page, and booking options in the trip builder
  • The Deals page, the dashboard, and "Recommended in this article" boxes on some guides

Partner categories currently include: Flights, Stays, Airport services, eSIM & Connectivity, Insurance, Money, Gear.

How you can tell

Every affiliate placement is marked with a "Partner" or "Sponsored" pill. This complies with the FTC's 16 CFR Part 255 guidelines on endorsements.

Guides that contain affiliate links also carry a notice at the top of the article. In the page code, partner links are tagged rel="sponsored" so search engines know they are commercial. Everything not marked as a partner — country data, route data, weather, rates, holidays and the tools — is shown the same whether or not anyone earns money from it.

How we choose partners

  • Usefulness first. A partner has to solve a real problem travellers have at that moment — finding a flight, getting mobile data on landing, avoiding card fees.
  • Reputation. We look at independent reviews, clear pricing and fair refund or cancellation policies.
  • Honest descriptions. Offers are described in our own words. We don't invent discounts, countdown timers or "only 2 left" urgency, and we don't quote prices we can't verify.
  • Alternatives included. Our buyer's guides name non-partner options when they are better for some readers, and say so.

Editorial independence

Partners do not pay for placement, reviews or rankings, and they do not see or approve our content before it is published. We don't accept sponsored posts, paid reviews or free trips in exchange for coverage. If that ever changes for a specific piece, it will be labelled "Sponsored" at the top and in the pill.

Current status

We are applying to affiliate programmes through FlexOffers. Until each programme approves us, partner links go straight to the partner's homepage and may not earn a commission. The labels stay the same either way, so you always know which links are commercial.

Your privacy

We count clicks on partner links as a simple daily total per partner. We never record who clicked. Once you are on a partner's site, its own privacy and cookie policy applies — see our Privacy Policy for details.

Rules we follow

This disclosure is written to meet the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) and the equivalent advertising-disclosure principles in the UK and EU (including the CAP Code and consumer-protection rules), which require commercial relationships to be clear and prominent.
